If you thought Fiat Chrysler Automobile’s (FCA) movie-themed marketing was over with the Star Wars–themed commercials with the company’s Storm Trooper–like phalanxes of Chargers and Challengers, think again. This time, the company is teaming up with Warner Brothers Pictures for a special-edition Dawn of Justice–edition Renegade model. Like many of FCA’s special editions, changes are primarily cosmetic, consisting primarily of a tailgate badge with the combination Superman/Batman badge. Other features include 18-inch gloss-black wheels, gloss-black exterior accents, and black interior accents. The package is offered on the Latitude 4x4 trim.
FCA worked closely with Warner Brothers to provide nearly all the vehicles for the movie. The fact that much of the movie’s production took place in Detroit helped facilitate the collaboration. The partnership will be highlighted by a series of commercials utilizing footage from the movie featuring Jeep and Dodge vehicles ahead of the movie’s premiere in March. The first commercial spot, “Into the Storm” (below), debuts today and shows a Renegade driving through scenes of urban chaos and destruction.
Starting at $27,245 including, $995 destination, the Dawn of Justice edition includes the Popular Equipment group, which includes remote start, power driver seat, dual-zone climate control, and a backup camera. The Dawn of Justice edition Renegade is available in dealerships now.
