The Great American Race of 2016 provided off-road race fans with plenty of action with race vehicles like the 2017 Ford Raptor racing, more than 100 UTVs, and plenty of ultra fast Trick Trucks, the Mint 400 didn’t disappoint.
Justin Lofton was able to power his Ford Trick Truck to his second consecutive win at the BITD Mint 400 while riding on BFGoodrich Baja T/A KR2 tires. Lofton won by a mere 42 seconds faster than Andy McMillin. This overall win marks the 27th time the overall winner was blasting through the tough course on BFGoodrich tires.
BFGoodrich became the presenting sponsor of the 2016 Mint 400 this year and has been a dominant force in off-road racing for several decades. It’s not hard to see why with the last four overall Mint 400 winners riding on BFGs and claiming overall wins in 23 of the last 25 major North American off-road races.
Thanks to consistent race, skilled driving, a well-built Trick Truck, and solid tires, Lofotn was able to hold off his competitors for four grueling laps in the Nevada desert.
