Donuts on 40s in a Hemi-Powered Jeep JK Pickup: What Could Be More Fun—Video

The team at Starwood Motors in Dallas, Texas, has built one kick-ass Jeep Wrangler–based pickup for the Warrior Rally, which will keep pace with the 2016 goldRush Rally. Driving this Hemi-powered beast will be a combat-injured veteran who won this year’s contest. The Bandit, Starwood’s name for the custom Jeep truck, features everything you need to have a good time on a rally.

This one-off Jeep packs a 427ci supercharged Hemi between the framerails, pumping out 700 hp and giving this JK more than enough power to get in trouble on- and off-road. While filling out the wheelwells nicely, the 40-inch tires mean ground clearance isn’t an issue and obstacles don’t stand a chance. With a coilover conversion and Fox shocks, the suspension should flex over anything and offer a comfortable ride for the long drive.

A plush leather interior will keep everyone comfortable, and since gear can be placed in the bed, you don’t have to sacrifice interior legroom. In addition to improving the appearance, Fab Fours bumpers front and rear give this Jeep plenty of protection from anything wild it may run into on the rally. A Warn winch up front means getting stuck is impossible, and a rear-mounted fullsize spare tire takes the worry out of getting stranded with a flat tire.

Did we mention this Jeep has 700 hp? Yup, 700. With all that power, breaking 40-inch tires loose for some donuts shouldn’t be a problem. A quick test in front of Starwood Motors confirms that. Check out this Jeep sliding around and breaking in the new Nitto Mud Grappler tires.
