The Ram Rebel is already quite a truck from the factory. It won our 2016 Pickup Truck of the year award last year. Nonetheless, the team at Mopar saw an opportunity to give it that special touch. This is the first time a Ram truck has received the Mopar treatment, coming off the popular 2015 Charger R/T that featured plenty of Mopar flair, and they didn’t drop the ball on this truck.
Starting with a Ram 1500 Rebel 4x4 crew cab, the Mopar edition pickup features plenty of exterior and interior styling cues any Ram fan would love. The Mopar Rebel is available in only two color options, Flame Red/Black two-tone or Brilliant Black monotone, which should help you make choosing a color easy. A satin-black bumper, front skidplate, and 17-inch wheels give the real and subtle sinister look. Off-road wheel flares add addition wheel covering and add to the aggressive look of the Rebel. The billet front skidplate has been swapped for a matte-black unit, giving the front end an excellent appearance. Completing the exterior upgrades of the Mopar package are a dual bezel sport performance hood with a matte-black hood graphic, a unique blue-and-black graphic on the side and tailgate, black entry steps and tonneau cover.
The interior wasn’t forgotten about, stainless steel door sill guards embossed with the Ram logo, and a serialized Mopar ’16 badge on the glove box remind you that you’re driving something unique ever time you open the door. As with previous Mopar edition vehicles, the Rebel will come with an owners kit detailing the trucks specifications, build date, and number,. The best part is it’s stored in a Ram tool bag.
The 2016 Ram Rebel is powered by a stout 5.7L Hemi engine with plenty of tire eating horses, but if you want more Mopar has that covered too. A cold air intake and cat back exhaust system is available right from the dealer freeing up a few more ponies from the Hemi, while still keeping you under warranty.
This very unique 2016 Ram Rebel is limited to just 500 trucks and will be at dealers this summer with a starting price of $52,460, but can you real put a price on custom? For more information on the ’16 Mopar Rebel head over to ramtrucks.com.
