Omix-ADA Partners with SEMA Cares on Custom Wrangler #TENSEMA16Posted in News on October 20, 2016
Jeep accessory manufacturer Omix-ADA is partnering with SEMA Cares, the charitable arm of the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) for the fourth time in building and displaying a Jeep Wrangler at the 2016 SEMA Show in Las Vegas. Last year’s Wrangler auctioned for $100,000 at the Barrett-Jackson auction in Scottsdale, Arizona. This year’s Wrangler was built by Petty’s Garage in North Carolina, founded by NASCAR race legend Richard Petty.
The build showcases Omix-ADA’s line of Rugged Ridge accessories for the JK Wrangler, some of which will be seen for the first time at the show. Proceeds from the auction of this year’s featured Jeep will go to Victory Junction, a camp for children with chronic and serious illnesses, founded in memory of Adam Petty, Richard Petty’s grandson, who was killed in a race accident in 2000. Adam’s stated dream was to build a camp for children.
SEMA Cares was founded in 2007 by the SEMA board of directors to coordinate efforts among SEMA members to make a positive difference in communities across the country through outreach programs and fundraising efforts. The SEMA Cares Wrangler will be displayed in the Grand Lobby of the 2016 SEMA Show from November 1-4.
