Before the Ford F-150 Raptor, the Ram 2500 Power Wagon was the undisputed king of factory fullsize 4x4 trucks. Even subsequent to the Raptor’s debut, the Power Wagon continues to occupy a unique niche among fullsize and HD trucks with the most comprehensive combination of purposeful off-road hardware straight off the showroom floor. The Power wagon continues into the 2017 model year with a modest price increase of $535. The new starting price of the Power Wagon is $53,015, including $1,320 destination. If you’re a fan of the Ram 1500 Rebel’s styling, you’ll love the Power Wagon. Its exterior styling and graphics looks like a beefier version of its little brother. The inside follows the Rebel’s suit with tire-tread pattern interior upholstery.
As before, the Power Wagon retains its signature hardware of a Warn 12,000-pound front winch, Smart Bar electronic disconnecting sway bar, and front and rear locking differentials. The big news from an equipment standpoint for 2017 is the addition of the Leather & Luxury option package. The $4,495 package includes an 8.4-inch Uconnect touchscreen head unit, sound system with nine Alpine speakers and subwoofer, dual-zone climate control, heated and ventilated leather-trimmed split front bench seats with armrest and cushion storage, 10-way power adjustable driver seat with memory, six-way power front passenger seat, a heated steering wheel, 60/40 split folding rear seat with under-seat storage, rearview camera, power-folding mirrors, security system, and voice controls with Bluetooth. The 2017 Ram 2500 Power Wagon will be in dealerships in late 2016.
