Seemingly no other car company knows how to do special editions so prolifically and make them so appealing to enthusiasts as Fiat Chrysler Automobiles. The Ram truck division had a hit on its hands with the Ram 1500 Rebel, so much so that it styled the 2500 Power Wagon after its little brother. Ram continues to ride the Rebel train into 2017 with the introduction of the Ram 1500 Rebel Black.
As its name suggests, the Black edition adds black trim to the exterior in the form of black wheels and brush guard and to the interior with black-anodized bezels for the door panels, center console, instrument panel, and gauge cluster. Optional is an all-black Katzkin leather interior with black “Rebel” embroidery.
Other than the trim and detail changes, the Rebel Black remains fundamentally the same as the standard 1500 Rebel, meaning it’s available in the crew cab body style, 4x2 or 4x4, and with the 3.6L Pentastar V-6 or 5.7L Hemi V-8. Despite its name, it’s also available in any of the colors available on the “regular” Rebel. The Rebel Black will be available at dealerships in March, with a starting price of $46,910, including $1,320 destination.
