Last week, we brought you news about Ford auctioning off the last VIN of the 2017 F-150 Raptor at the Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale auction. The gavel has dropped, and the final bid for the Raptor, with all proceeds going to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), was $157,000. The winning bid was made by Sam Pack, CEO of Sam Pack’s Five Star Ford in Carrollton, Texas. The JDRF also received an additional anonymous donation of $50,000 for the cause.

In attendance at the auction was Ford Motor Company CEO Mark Fields to help drum up enthusiasm. Ford Motor Company has been a supporter of the JDRF since 1983. Cumulatively, Ford and Barrett-Jackson have raised more than $8 million for charities.
