A celebration of life for the late founder of the Best in the Desert Racing Association, Casey Folks, will be held in the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas on February 12. Admission is open to the public, and there are no tickets or admission fees. The capacity of the arena is 6,000, with stadium-style seating. Attendees are encouraged to wear their team’s colors, or business casual attire.

Folks is remembered for his colorful racing career, generosity, and enthusiasm. As we reported earlier this month, Folks died from the aftermath of a stroke he suffered at a UTV race event in Parker, Arizona, on January 7. Folks competed internationally in races as far away as Tunisia. He is best known for his Baja racing career and his founding and active leadership of the Best in the Desert Racing Association, founded in 1984. He was inducted into the Off-Road Motorsports Hall of Fame in 2012.
