Ford Produces “Born to Baja” Virtual Reality Video for 2017 F-150 RaptorPosted in News on March 22, 2017
Ford is no stranger to off-road racing, and one of the most demanding tests for a vehicle’s off-road capability and durability is the grueling SCORE Baja 1000. While the F-150 Raptor already has a legendary reputation for its off-road ability among enthusiasts, Ford wanted to show the action and the punishment the near-stock truck took in its journey from the end of the assembly line in Dearborn to across the finish line in Ensenada. To show the new 2017 F-150 Raptor in action, Ford produced this 6 minute video on YouTube, with a view controller in the upper-left corner, allowing the user to get a 360-degree perspective on the video.
Narrated by Denis Leary, “Born to Baja” starts with some action B-Roll and then goes to footage from the Dearborn Truck plant. Leary starts out the voiceover with “This is the Ford Rouge plant in Dearborn, Michigan. Think of it as the gateway to the Baja 1000.” Our favorite line of the narration is “Taking the Raptor there [to Baja] shows the world what a bad-ass it is.”
