Omix-ADA and Petty’s Garage to Auction 2016 SEMA Jeep Wrangler for CharityPosted in News on March 23, 2017
A 2016 Jeep Wrangler built for the SEMA Show by Omix-ADA and Petty’s Garage will be auctioned without reserve next month, with all of the proceeds going to the Victory Junction children’s camp.
The Jeep, which bears a Richard Petty–approved shade of Hydro Blue paint, will be sold at Mecum Auctions in Houston on April 8. Built in conjunction with the famous NASCAR driver’s customization shop, the Wrangler features a long list of Omix-ADA and Rugged Ridge accessories. Key among those are off-road bumpers, winches, light bars, tubular doors, and a scowling Omix-ADA Spartan grille. A supercharged 3.6L V-6 provides 425 hp to all four General Grabber tires via a five-speed automatic transmission.
Omix-ADA and Petty’s Garage collaborated for the first time on the 2016 SEMA Show Jeep. The sale is a part of the SEMA Cares Committee, which supports fundraising efforts by SEMA members to benefit local and national charities. This is the fourth time Omix-ADA has worked with SEMA Cares to raise money.
Victory Junction, located in Randleman, North Carolina, serves children with serious illnesses or chronic medical conditions, giving them the opportunity to participate in entertaining and exciting activities at no cost. It was founded in 2004 in memory of Richard Petty’s grandson Adam, who died in 2000 in a racing accident at age 19. Since its founding, Victory Junction has served more than 23,000 campers from all 50 states.
