2018 Ram Limited Tungsten Edition: More Luxury For Fullsize PickupPosted in News on June 28, 2017
The 2018 Ram truck lineup is getting a bit more luxurious with the addition of the Limited Tungsten Edition. In addition to the Ram Limited’s long list of standard features, the Tungsten Edition adds unique materials and finishes to the interior and exterior of the pickup.
Available in 1500, 2500, and 3500, the Tungsten Edition’s interior receives the most obvious changes. While the regular Limited features an all-black interior color scheme, the Tungsten gets “Natura Plus” high-grade leather with light beige (Ram calls it Frost) seating and accents and Indigo door panels, seat piping, and carpeting. Furthermore, Ram claims the Tungsten Edition also features the truck segment’s first-ever suede headliner. If its materials are really nicer than the already posh Limited, the Tungsten should be a very comfortable truck indeed.
Outside, Ram swapped in slightly darker “Tungsten Chrome” trim on the grille, body accents, and badging, while the tailgate gets body-color RAM script. The Limited’s wheels get a satin sheen for some added subtlety. Finally, the Tungsten Edition also includes some niceties from the Sport model: a bulging hood for the Ram 1500 and black-bezel headlamps for all models.
Available in 1500 Crew Cab, 2500 Crew and Mega Cab, and 3500 Crew and Mega Cab with dual or single rear wheels, the Ram Limited Tungsten will also feature the buyer’s choice of wheelbase and two- or four-wheel drive. Priced at $55,120 for the 1500 Crew Cab with the 5-foot, 7-inch box, the 2018 Limited Tungsten Edition represents a price increase of about $2,300 compared to a 2017 Limited. It will be available in late summer 2017.
