The Second Annual 2017 Jeep Blitz by Steinjäger was a success, even with the heavy rain and wind attendees had to brave.
Occurring in Bushnell, Illinois May 18–21, the Jeep Blitz coaxed more than 220 Jeeps out of hiding, enticed by the Steinjäger Test Track, Obstacle Course, and Trail Rides. As the day progressed, the course got muddier and muddier, but as with any off-road event, dirt was part of the appeal. In addition to the off-road festivities, the event also featured a show-and-shine segment, and all that rain probably aided in washing off the layers of mud from the obstacle course.
Steinjäger, which founded and sponsored the event, wanted to create a family-friendly space for Jeep owners to come together and celebrate their vehicles. Obviously, the company also took the opportunity to promote its line of suspension components, Wrangler bits, and other parts and accessories. Helping keep everyone entertained were the aforementioned obstacle course and show-and-shine, as well as live music and the in-town Jeep Cruise. Friday evening also featured a beer garden sponsored by the VFW Post #1422, located in Bushnell.
Overall, it sounds like it was quite the event. If you were there, drop us a line and send us some photos!
