While most of the continental United States was ogling the solar eclipse, Nissan was busy rolling out the details of the new editions to the Midnight Edition portfolio. The Titan, Titan XD, and Frontier models will all get draped in black and bear the Midnight Edition badge, alongside the Altima, Maxima, Murano, Pathfinder, Rogue, and Sentra.

The blacked-out Midnight Edition vehicles have proven rather successful according to Nissan, selling nearly twice as fast as standard models, and the company expects the trucks and SUVs to follow the trend. Many consumers modify their vehicles to include blacked-out parts once they roll out of the showroom, so Nissan is removing the middleman by including these upgrades in one stylish package.

The Midnight Edition Frontier and Titan models will be available with darkened accents all around, including front and rear color-matched bumpers, grille and grille inserts, rearview mirrors, and foglight flashers. The Titan and Titan XD trucks come sporting 20-inch black aluminum alloy wheels, and are available in Magnetic Black, Gun Metallic, and Pearl White exteriors. The Titan XD has the optional Cummins 5.0L V-8 Turbo Diesel powerhouse.

The 2018 Frontier comes decked with similarly sinister darkened features, with the exception of 18-inch aluminum wheels and the Glacier White exterior color option.

The new Midnight Edition Trucks will be available in late fall 2017, but prices are yet to be disclosed.
