The Best in the Desert Racing Association’s (BITD) 2018 BlueWater Resort Parker 425 Presented by Impact was raced on February 3 in Parker, Arizona, kicking off the season for the ever-popular unlimited Trick Truck category. After qualifying first and then enduring 425 miles of grueling off-road terrain for just over seven hours of racing, the #31 truck piloted by Andy McMillin crossed the finish line first for the second consecutive year, followed by the hard-charging #88 truck of Brett Sourapas and #4 truck of Justin Matney.

“For the first race in the new Toyo Tires/Mason truck, to be able to qualify first and win the race is an indescribable feeling,” said McMillin. “My Toyo tires [39-inch Open Country M/T R] were absolutely perfect—not one flat tire all day on a very treacherous and rocky course. I couldn’t be more pleased with all of the components on this truck.”

The course took its toll on the 49 top-class entrants, resulting in ten Trick Trucks DNFing, including these notables: #91 Troy Herbst (co-driver Christian Sourapas hit a cow--, #41 Justin Lofton, #18 Juan Carlos Lopez, #5 Clyde Stacy, and #8 Jerry Zaiden.
