This year at the 2018 Dallas Auto Show Ram debuted their all-new 2019 Lone Star edition 1500 pickup, the original “Texas Truck” from Ram trucks. The 1500 Lone Star is Ram’s top-selling truck in Texas, offering the perfect combination of strength, capability, technology, and comfort for the Lone Star state. “The hard-working appeal of the Ram Lone Star has made it a favorite among Texas truck buyers,” said Head of Ram Brand, FCA – Global Mike Manley. “Trucks are an important part of Texas life, and Ram trucks are proven to last. Ram’s long-lasting reliability has helped the Ram 1500 cement the highest owner loyalty of any half-ton pickup.”
The 2019 Ram 1500 Lone Star features bright chrome front and rear bumpers, chrome door handle centers, a bright grille surround with billet inserts, 18-inch aluminum wheels, foglamps, 60/40 split rear bench seat, and leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio controls. Monochromatic “Sport” and “Black” appearance packages are also offered, creating a slew of interior and exterior options for the new Ram. A completely redesigned interior is one of the most exciting parts of the new Ram. The truck is available with four interior trim levels, and a choice of six-passenger bench front or optional five-passenger bucket seats.
The 1500 Lone Star is available with several optional packages that are targeted towards Texas-based customers; the packages include the Bed Utility Group, a 4x4 Off-road Group, a Protection Group, Trailer Tow Mirrors and Brake Group, and the Max Towing Package and Premium Lighting Group. Other useful options available on Lone Star models include Active Level Air Suspension, electric-locking rear axle, Blind-spot Monitoring and 20-inch aluminum wheels. Available only in Texas, 2019 Ram 1500 Lone Star models are distinguished by unique “Lone Star” tailgate and interior badges.
The Lone Star will be available initially with Ram’s 5.7L Hemi V-8. Also available will be the powerful and fuel-efficient Hemi with the eTorque mild hybrid system. Down the line a 3.6L V-6 Pentastar with eTorque will join the powertrain offerings. Manufactured at FCA’s Sterling Heights Michigan assembly plant and available in 4x4 and 4x2 models, the 2019 Ram Lone Star will go on sale in the first quarter of 2018.
