Black Dog Traders, the company that restores and restomods FJ40-era Land Cruiser SUVs, is hiring for five positions: shop foreman/manager, lead technician, body/paint tech, mechanic, and fabricator.

The company, which is based in Dallas, Texas, is looking for applicants that are passionate about Toyota Land Cruisers. The foreman/manager position, for example, will favor applicants with Toyota Master Automotive Technician certifications, ASE credentials, and/or specific experience with the 40-Series Land Cruiser. That position requires at least 10 years’ experience with Toyota vehicles or custom-built vintage cars, and it’s a working manager position, says company boss Austin Peterson.

Black Dog Traders will soon move into a larger 14,000-square-foot facility in the city’s hip Dallas Design District, and the company is looking for a team that can help grow the business.

“Really, we are looking for die-hard car addicts who couldn’t see themselves in any other industry,” Peterson told FourWheeler.com in an email. “We’re looking to build a team of passionate and knowledgeable folks who can help us to streamline this whole operation.”

Interested parties can send their application information to Peterson himself, at austin@blackdogtraders.com. As part of the process, applicants need to include their name, contact information, a cover letter, a resume, and the particular position they’re interested in.
