Two new Jeep marketing campaigns hit the web this week, and they are set to run on television and in print soon as well. The commercials are for the new 2018 Wrangler JL and 2019 Cherokee, vehicles that have both received major updates and were revealed just months ago.
The commercial for the 2018 Wrangler JL entitled “Freedom & Adventure” or “Mom & Dad” tells the adventurous story of the Jeep Wrangler. Starting during World War II and traversing though the decades to today’s time, we see the progression of the Wrangler as a fearless go-anywhere 4x4. A freedom machine that defines the adventurous American spirit, the commercial captures the essence of the JL Wrangler well.
“The World Comes With It” is the title of Jeep’s new campaign for the 2019 Cherokee. Their goal was to display the versatility and improved styling of their midsize SUV. The Cherokee is capable, practical, comfortable, and advanced for its class. Jeep uses mountainous landscapes and scenes of natural beauty to symbolize updated design elements of the new Cherokee such as its improved interior, standard LED headlights, and tastefully redesigned front end, highlighting the Cherokee’s adventurous connection to the natural world. The new campaigns are true to the Jeep brand; they display images that encapsulate the Jeep experience literally with the JL bombing through muddy bogs and figuratively through images of mountain peaks and wild forests. These ads fittingly appeal to their own different audiences while remaining rooted in Jeep heritage.
