2019 Ram 1500 Classic to Sell Concurrently with All-New RamPosted in News on June 28, 2018
By now you’ve heard of the 2019 Ram 1500, touted as all new in basically every way, shape, and form. You might be starting to see them on the road, or at least on dealership lots. However, Ram isn’t done with its outgoing truck quite yet. The all-new Ram and the retiring Ram will be sold concurrently as 2019-model-year pickups through the 2018 calendar year. A little bit of overlap never hurt anyone, right? Having two body styles on sale at the same time isn’t a concept that’s new, as other auto manufacturers have followed suit in the past.
The legacy edition will come with its own name, Classic, and will target entry and commercial buyers. The 2019 Ram 1500 Classic will be offered in four trim levels: Tradesman, Express, Big Horn/Lone Star, and SSV (Special Services Vehicles). Three new packages, offering bundled value content and boosted style, complement the trims: Chrome Plus, Tradesman SXT, and Express Black Accent. A variety of cab (Regular, Quad, and Crew) and bed configurations will be available, in both two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive. The Classic will be powered by the 3.6L Pentastar V-6 or optional 5.7L Hemi V-8. The 3.0L V-6 EcoDiesel will be available at a later date.
Look for the Ram 1500 Classic—designated by Classic badging—in the fourth quarter of 2018.
