The 2019 Ram 1500 Rebel 12 special edition packs premium technology and materials into the interior cabin of the ever-popular off-road Ram Rebel model, creating what could be the perfect blend of high-end technology and off-road performance. The biggest deal about the Rebel 12 is the inclusion of Ram’s fourth-generation Uconnect 4C with the 12-inch touchscreen and navigation, an option that has never been available for the Rebel. Normally, the 2019 Ram Rebel comes standard with Uconnect 3 with a 5-inch display; Uconnect 4 (and 4C NAV) with an 8.4-inch display are optional. The 12-inch screen is standard for the Limited and optional for the Laramie and Laramie Longhorn.
“Expanding the availability of the segment-leading Uconnect 4C 12-inch touchscreen is a direct response to market demand,” said Jim Morrison, head of Ram Brand, FCA – North America. “Customers have been asking for additional high-end features on Rebel and now we’re delivering with benchmark technology and materials wrapped in off-road capability.”
The Rebel 12 also has a leather-trimmed interior (instead of cloth/vinyl) with heated front seats and cool metal speaker grilles adorned in Rebel’s signature Radar Red anodized finish. A 900-watt Harmon Kardon sound system with 19 speakers and a 10-inch subwoofer add to the premium cabin experience. It looks like you can get heated front seats in the 2019 Ram Rebel by adding certain equipment packages, but the leather and sound system seem to be high-end appointments reserved for upper-level trims—and now the Rebel 12.
The Rebel 12 package is available on all Rebel cab, color and powertrain configurations, and starts at $46,990 (not including $1,695 destination fee). Look for this special edition in the fourth quarter of 2018.
