Halloween weekend at the Glamis sand dunes in Imperial County, California marks the opening to riding season in the west. For several years, Polaris has thrown a party in the dunes known as Camp RZR. Every year the event gets bigger and Polaris continues to expand its footprint. Thousands descend in Glamis with their sand toys to attend.
Camp RZR is a one of a kind event celebrating Polaris RZR owners. The event is always free and open to the public. At Camp RZR there were demo rides with the latest offerings from the Polaris UTV product line, accessory displays and a ton of vendors selling product to customize your UTV. Attendees had the opportunity to sign up for all kinds of free stuff from Polaris. One lucky winner took home 2019 Polaris RZR Turbo S, which was raffled off at the end of the weekend.
Country recording artist Frankie Ballard performed on stage Friday night and alternative rock band O.A.R. took the stage Saturday night.
There was no shortage of dune hoonage as people ripped around everywhere day and night. Oldsmobile Hill, an area in Glamis with a steep hill climb is always a great spot for action. Colorful lit whips and bright light bars could be seen for miles across the dunes as the party continued throughout the night.
