Now is your chance to own a restored 1966 Bronco from ICON. Normally there is a two-year waiting period to own one of these masterpieces. ICON is partnering with Autotype to donate more than 10 percent of the sale profits to the Autotype Emerging Designer Scholarship Fund.
Autotype is a collective that helps designers sell their work and has a scholarship to help fund future creative projects.
The ICON Bronco that is up for auction is finished in a glossy orange. It features a new aluminum Ford 5.0L V-8 mated to a five-speed manual transmission and Atlas II transfer case. The interior has a beige Carlyle leather upholstery with orange houndstooth inserts.
The bumpers are polished and feature that old-school Bronco classic style you would expect from a 1966 model. You still have to roll the windows up manually. New technology has been infused into the build. There are power door locks and AMP Research PowerSteps were added. The Bronco also includes a removable hardtop.
The vehicle comes with 18-inch Old School wheels that were CNC-machined from forged aluminum. ICON added BFGoodrich All-Terrain KO2 tires. There is an ARB Bushranger inflatable X-Jack providing up to 30 inches of lift in case you need it. It also folds flat when stored.
The vehicle is being auctioned at www.bringatrailer.com but you better hurry if you want to put your bid in. The auction ends in just a few days.
