Chevrolet is reporting the ZR2 Bison is already sold out for 2019. The truck recently went on sale at the beginning of the year. Only 2,000 trucks were allocated for 2019, and all are currently spoken for.
The Chevrolet ZR2 Bison was developed in collaboration with American Expedition Vehicles (AEV). It features custom front and rear bumpers that have integrated recovery points. Special foglights are also built in. The truck also features an AEV snorkel. The Bison comes with the standard ZR2 off-road package whcih include DSSV suspension. AEV then beefed it up for extreme off-road use.
The Bison is one of many offerings in the growing midsize truck market. At a starting price tag of $48,045, demand for the Bison appears to be through the roof. Chevrolet says it has sold north of 134,000 Colorados in the 2018 calendar year in the United States. ZR2 sales account for at least 10 percent of total Colorados sold. There has been no word from Chevrolet whether there will be more ZR2 Bisons added to the production line. Customers can still attempt to price and locate the ZR2 Bison on Chevrolet’s website. Finding a dealer that has one for sale will be a challenge.
