Ron Stobaugh Joins Hammerking Productions
Hammerking Productions, Inc., creator of King of the Hammers, appointed Ron Stobaugh as the Vice President of Sales and Business Development. Stobaugh has more than 25 years of off-road business experience and over 90 off-road races the organization under his belt, and will use his expertise to oversee Hammerking’s sales team.

“I’ve been a fan of King of the Hammers since the beginning,” said Ron Stobaugh. “I truly believe Ultra4 racing offers significant value to both industry partners and non-endemic companies. Hammerking has a diverse offering that includes event promotion, media production, and race management.”

Ron will immediately begin working alongside the existing management team at Hammerking Productions to partner with existing and potential sponsors. The group will promote the current 2014 ULTRA4 Racing Season and begin plans for the 2015 Griffin King of the Hammers Presented by Nitto Tire.

2014’s ORMHOF Inductees to be Awarded in Vegas
The Off-Road Motorsports Hall of Fame (ORMHOF) announced in May the 2014 class of inductees. Del Albright, David Ashley, Marty Fiolka, the late Nye Frank, and Bill Sanders will have their names added to the venerable list of those who have committed their lives to the off-road community.

The five inductees’ widespread accomplishments cover a number of arenas in the sport, including off-road racing, pioneering the industry, journalism, and advocacy. Their legacies will be celebrated and displayed in Gallery Four within the famed National Automobile Museum—the Harrah Collection–in Reno, Nevada. They join names synonymous with the sport, including Parnelli Jones, Malcolm Smith, Rob MacCachren, Larry Roeseler, Walker Evans, and Rod Hall, as well as many others who have worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make the sport prosper and grow.

The inductees were chosen by an 18-member voting panel on based on their significant contribution to off-road motorsports, beyond wins and sport affiliation. Each inductee has made a significant contribution to off-road motorsports in at least one of the following areas: business, history, design, engineering, prestige of the sport, and growth of the sport.

All nominees must have at least 15 years of experience and involvement, and have built, designed, driven, maintained, owned, prepared, piloted, promoted, or ridden an off-road vehicle, or have supported the off-road industry. They are characterized by a desire to win, mastery of their field, and courage to innovate.

This year’s induction ceremonies will introduce a new venue. The inductees will be honored Sunday, November 2, 2014, in Las Vegas, Nevada, at the South Point Hotel and Casino. For further information, visit ORMHOF’s website www.ormhof.orgor email the group at
