The little TBI four-cylinder in Hazel's '89 YJ has always ticked a bit from under the hood. Unlike the later 4.0L engines, the little TBI-injected 2.5L has a sturdier cast iron manifold. Although its a bit stronger than the tubular 4.0L manifolds, as you can see, it's not impervious to damage. We ordered a new replacement from www.quadratec.com. Be sure to check out the April 2014 issue of Jp magazine for the full fix.
