So many things today just pale in comparison to yesterday. Recently I was happily surprised to find a warranty that worked just like it was claimed to. I've had a lifetime warranty hose from Home Depot for at least 4 years now I bought it for the size of it and the warranty was kinda a fringe benefit if I ever needed it. Well, when the hose end that screws into the faucet came apart I went to Home Depot and found out how the warranty worked. They told me just bring in whatever parts of the hose I still have and they will replace it. Of course, I didn't get that employee's name, so when I wrapped the hose up and took it in, I fully expected to get some kind of "where's your receipt" or "how long have you had this?" kind of hassle. Nope, walked in, they saw me, sent me for a new hose, and that was it. No receipt request, nothing. The easiest warranty ever. Try that in the old days.
