I snuck an hour today to rewire the ignition and charging system in my '71 CJ-6. Now I can turn the key and it fires! But more importantly I can turn off the key and kill the engine. With my previous hotwire job I had to either yank a battery cable or intentionally stall it. Anyway, it's one step closer to true running status with all new ignition wiring and a properly sorted charging system with a new 10si alternator, indicator lamp, and heavy gauge wires. Next stop, axles, brakes, and suspension!
