Mopar Equipped Jeep Renegade Trailhawks Take Stage in DetroitPosted in News on January 9, 2015
Just when you thought the North American International Auto Show couldn't get more exciting, Jeep is pulling out the stops and bringing two of versions of its newest and smallest SUV to Detroit. Jeep will be putting two custom Jeep Renegades on display next week at the NAIAS to show off how people can modify and customize their Jeeps to their heart's desire with a whole host of parts from Mopar.
Mopar has outfitted two Jeep Renegades as their Off-Road equipped version and Urban-equipped version. Right off the bat you’ll notice that both these Jeep Renegades are anything but subtle. In fact, they scream for attention with their custom touches and wild colors.
Off-Road Mopar-Equipped Jeep Renegade
The Off-Road Mopar-equipped Jeep Renegade features a Commando Green exterior paint scheme with large bold body-side graphics that pick up on the “X”-shape styling of the taillamps. You’ll notice that the Off-Road package also includes a Mopar Topographical hood decal that depicts the Motor City roots of the NAIAS.
The satin black wheels feature a single spoke trimmed in Colorado red, while tow hooks that come standard at the front and rear of the Trailhawk model also receive the same treatment. The satin black cross rails as well as a Mopar roof basket make for the perfect spot to carry camping gear to the trail or sport equipment back home. A gloss black body side rail finishes off the utilitarian look of the roof.
Since Jeep and Mopar expect that some Jeep Renegade owners will venture off the beaten path, a satin grey concept skid plate, prototype rock rails and rear valance give the Renegade some added protection against off-road obstacles. Additional protection underneath is provided by a production Mopar skid plate kit.
Heading inside, the trail-ready capabilities of the Renegade are balanced with premium interior appointments, including Katzkin leather seat covers. HVAC bezels, speaker grilles and the center console are highlighted in Commando Green, matching the exterior. The wheel, shifter and door lever receive satin black trim, with all bright interior badging finished in neutral grey.
Of course no off-road equipped Jeep would be perfect without a set of Mopar slush mats for to protect the interior on those muddy trail runs. A Mopar cargo tray provides additional storage space, and Mopar doorsills are emblazoned with the Jeep logo.
Urban Mopar-equipped Jeep Renegade
The urban Mopar-equipped Jeep Renegade uses a selection of Jeep Authentic Accessories to create the perfect street vehicle for young city and suburban dwellers who desire 4x4 capabilities in remote locations where maps end and the trails continue.
The Urban-equipped Jeep Renegade is built from the Renegade Limited model and features a stylish Anvil paint scheme with a few distinct touches of Omaha orange. The wheels feature orange pockets on the satin black wheels to give the Renegade a more aggressive look for the concrete jungle. The Mirror caps, grille rings, taillamp surrounds and roof rails also feature the bright Omaha orange touches. At the rear, a Mopar hitch bike-carrier pulls two-wheeled forms of transportation to the park or mountain trail for outdoor enthusiasts who love to ride.
Behind the wheel, Katzkin leather seats upgrade the driving experience. As with the off-road Renegade, modifications to the exterior influence the interior of the urban Renegade. Omaha orange highlights the HVAC bezels, speaker grilles and the center console.
