The Eaton ELocker is quickly becoming one of our all-time favorite selectable differentials. So we were pretty stoked when we spied this brand-new application in its booth. The new Dana 44 ELocker features a super-strong four-pinion case, but that’s not the big news. The big news is one part number covers all 30-spline Dana 44 applications from ’70-’12 Jeeps. Up until now there had to be separate part numbers for the ’70-’06 and ’07-’12 Dana 44 differentials. However, the new ELocker applications (PN 19977-010 for 3.73-down or PN 19969-0100 for 3.92-up) are drilled for both the earlier (CJ, FSJ, TJ, and so on) and later (’07-up JK) ring gear bolt patterns. Two applications now covers every 30-spline Dana 44 made. That’s good news for JK owners looking to replace their failed factory electric lockers with much less expensive, more durable ELockers.
