Marine Corps Drill Instructor, R. Lee Ermey of Full Metal Jacket fame has joined forces with Omix-ADA/Rugged Ridge to see to it that a military-inspired Jeep build is done the right way at the SEMA Show later this year as part of the Patriotic Celebration in the Upper South Hall Lobby. The build team will consist of students from technical colleges as well as Omix-ADA employees. We’re not sure if the Gunny will make them lock out the reverse gear since Marines never retreat but we are certain that he will have more than enough verbal motivation and words of encouragement to make sure the job gets done right. The Gunny will appear as a guest celebrity at the Off Road Success Center in the Upper South Hall Lobby during the 2013 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, Nevada from November 5-7.  The devoted and retired marine will hold several autograph sessions throughout the week at the Omix-ADA/Rugged Ridge Off-Road Success Center alongside Omix-ADA’s historic military Jeep collection. The Gunny will be onsite from 0930 – 1600 hrs. on Tuesday (11/5) as well as Wednesday (11/6) and Thursday (11/7).  The Off Road Success Center will feature the three-day live build of the custom military-inspired 2013 Jeep Wrangler JK which will be built as a modern interpretation of wartime service Jeeps. The Jeep will pay homage to our veterans as well as the legendary vehicles that aided our soldiers in countless war victories.
