Retro Radness

A couple days ago I posted a photo of a really cool vintage tach and asked what readers thought it was mounted in. Well, it was in this early '70s Wagoneer. I forget the whole story behind the thing, but it was at Jeeps R Us in Laguna Niguel, California, one day when I was visiting the shop. It was owned by friend of Trasborg's and I think the guy even gave me some parts for my M-715 build. Memory tells me he paid less than $1,000 for the whole thing. Even without the killer paint job, baja-tastic roof rack, black license plates, and cool hubcaps, the tach alone almost makes it worth the purchase price. Well, to me at least.
