People may forget what you said, people may forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel. - Maya Angelou
The quote above says it and you know the magic created if you have ever participated in one of our SNORE Make a Wish Charity Events and this year will not be any different. We have over 50 extraordinary wish children and their families planning on attending this year’s event on October 19, 2013 to be held on the property located behind Buffalo Bill’s Hotel in Primm, Nevada. Primm Properties is graciously donating lodging for all of the Make A Wish families so they can take a short break from the heavy burden and stress of their illness. On Saturday, they will get to take several RIDE OF A LIFETIME laps in various off road race vehicles being driven by many of our top off road racers over a specially designed desert race course full of bumps and turns that would thrill even those most experienced off road fan. Some of Las Vegas’ very own well-known professional off road racers will be in attendance, including Steve Olliges and Troy Herbst to name just a few, as well as other out-of-state racers traveling just to bring a smile to these children. . Off road racers and enthusiasts are some of the most generous people you will ever meet and their overwhelming generosity is certainly evident at this event. Not only do they donate their valuable time and race vehicles for this event, but often, they will open their wallets and donate money to the foundation as well. Over the last several years, SNORE has raised several thousand dollars for the Make A Wish Foundation and hopefully this year will raise even more for this very worthy cause. The majority of the festivities will begin at 10:00 a.m. with the dust settling about 2:00 p.m. If you would like to attend, please see our website www.snoreracing.net for more details
The Southern Nevada Make A Wish Foundation is quoted as saying “: Together, we can aspire to achieve our ultimate vision to provide empowering, spirit-lifting experiences for every medically eligible child in Southern Nevada” and rest assured, when the dust is all settled at the end of this event, SNORE with the generous help of our racers and volunteers, will have surpassed this goal.
