Cool Products & Rigs From The 2015 Off-Road ExpoPosted in Off Road Expo: 2015 on October 16, 2015
The Off-Road Expo, held every year in Pomona, California, is one of the few industry events where the doors are open to anyone. This event gives you the chance to ogle an abundance of new products and professionally built off-road vehicles. You have the chance to get up close and personal and ask questions about everything from new tires and lift kits for your 4x4 to fully prepped Trophy Trucks. Off-road–racing celebrities like B.J. Baldwin, Shannon Campbell, Walker Evans, Carl Renezeder, and more were in attendance for the 2015 Off-Road Expo. We spent the better part of the day fondling all the cool new 4x4 products and vehicles we could find. Here are some of our favorites.
This Chevy Silverado 2500HD 4x4 was built by Kibbetech (kibbetech.com). It features long-travel IFS front suspension, insanely plush race seats for all passengers, and spotless attention to detail. This was one of the trucks we wish we could have driven home.
Eye on Vintage
American Racing (americanracing.com) wheels gave a nod to vintage styling with these new black slotted wheels with a reinforced bead. A machined aluminum version is also available.
For some reason, gold wheels call to us. These bronze-coated KMC (kmcwheels.com) XD Forged beadlock wheels were screaming. Call us freaks or whatever. 004-flip-custom-switch-products-off-road-electronics
If you like organized electricals, you’ll probably love FLIP Custom Switch Products (squareup.com/market/bpgb). The switches come with a lifetime warranty. Switch covers are available with hundreds of icons and can be custom laser etched as well. Custom backlit LED color combinations are also available.
Sway-A-Way (swayaway.com) saw an opening in the off-road hub and spindle market and jumped in with both feet. The Sway-A-Way full-floating hub components feature a unique retention and locking mechanism to keep the wheel bearings tight. The lightweight aluminum hubs are designed for racing, but we suspect they could find their way onto a high-end recreational 4x4 axle.
Bilstein (bilsteinus.com) brought out brand-new 6112 series bolt-on 60mm shocks for several Toyota and GM applications. The company also introduced the new 8125 series affordable coilover shocks in 46 mm and 60 mm with travel lengths from 5 to 16 inches.
We really liked this Auto Meter (autometer.com) Multi-Function Dash Logger. It can be custom configured to see what data you want in front of you. The carbon composite housing is IP67 sealed against water and dust intrusion and is said to easily withstand 20 g of continuous vibration and 50 g of shock.
We’re attracted to brightly colored wheels like fish to a lure. These Fuel (fueloffroad.com) Anza wheels with orange beadlock rings had us hypnotized. They are available in several finishes and popular lug patterns.
If you are looking for a mid-travel suspension kit for your 2009-2014 Ford F-150 4x4, Vegas Desert Fab (vegasdezertfab.com) may have what you’re looking for. The kit includes new upper and lower A-arms, 2.5-inch Fox coilover shocks, and provides 12 inches of useable wheel travel.
Red Peak Off Road (redpeakoffroad.com) introduced the new Element HD 1080p lipstick-style Wi-Fi action camera. Several different clamps are available so it can be easily attached to your 4x4 to record all of your off-road shenanigans.
The legendary Walker Evans added some new shocks to his Walker Evans Racing (walkerevansracing.com) product line. Velocity Series 2.5-inch piggyback coilover shocks are available as a bolt-on replacement for 2015-2016 Polaris RZR XP 1000 and RZR XP Turbo UTVs. We suspect other applications could be coming soon.
MetalCloak (metalcloak.com) brought out the new Full HD Steering System for the Jeep JK Wrangler. The system features 1.375-inch, 0.375-wall DOM tubing, heavy-duty 1-ton forged drag link ends, and forged offset dogleg tie-rod ends.
Carli Suspension (thecarlisuspension.com) found a way to increase damping capability on rear of 2014-current Ram heavy-duty trucks using this cantilever system. The kit allows for a massive 3-inch diameter shock and 12 inches of travel.
For those that need more load carrying capacity, Carli Suspension brought out the long-travel airbag kit for the 2014-current Ram heavy-duty trucks. Now you can keep a smooth ride and carry heavy loads if need be.
This Dirt King Fabrication (dirtkingfabrication.com) long-travel IFS suspension kit is for the 2007-2013 Chevy Silverado 4x4. It includes upper and lower arms that are 3.5 inches wider per side. The kit allows for up to 15 inches of wheel travel.
Advance Adapters (advanceadapters.com) offers adjustable motor mounts for Chevy small-block and LS engine swap applications. The sliding mounts allow for an infinite amount of adjustment so you can locate the engine exactly where you want it.

Rogue Racing (rogueracing.com) brought out this Stage 4 rear cantilever suspension for the Ford Raptor. The kit fits under an uncut bed and allows for 18 inches of wheel travel. A matching Stage 4 front kit is also available.
This handy tool-storage cart is made by Red Baron Tools (red-baron-tools.myshopify.com). It organizes more than 200 frequently used tools and stores them in only 24 inches of space on your workbench. It spins for easier tool access and there are several hidden drawers in the base.
Fabtech (fabtechmotorsports.com) brought out a coilover conversion kit for the 2014-current Ram 2500. The kit puts a massive 4-inch-diameter stainless steel Dirt Logic coilover shock at each corner, provides up to 7 inches of lift, and fits up to 38-inch tires.
These Vision Wheel (visionwheel.com) 398c Manx Competition aluminum beadlock wheels are available in a 16x7. They come painted gloss black with a machined ring. A non-beadlocked version is available in several sizes and finishes.
Looking for a lightweight trailer? Wasatch Trailer (wasatchtrailer.com) brought out several full-aluminum enclosed race trailers that feature easy access from the side and rear.
More Power Steering

At this year’s Off-Road Expo, we were pleasantly surprised by the number of fullsize trail trucks. This Synergy Manufacturing (synergymfg.com) Ram 2500 made us drool a bit.
If you plan on hitting extremely dusty off-road conditions, you may want to consider an R2C Performance (r2cperformance.com) filter. The company specializes in all types of high-performance filters specifically designed to keep dirt out of your engine.
