Rock Equipment Tie Rod Flip KitDesigned to be a quick and affordable means of gaining approach angle and decreasing the chances of trail damage to your stock steering components, the Rock Equipment Tie Rod Flip Kit from OK4WD is available for most Jeep CJ-5, CJ-7, and CJ-8 applications. The kit is offered in a number of configurations to fit the needs of your vehicle and your budget. The basic kit includes a reaming tool and tapered cone sleeves so that the tie-rod and drag-link assembly can be relocated above the steering arms, but additional kits are offered with replacement rod ends and heavy-duty 1-1/8-inch steel tie rods.

Once the tie-rod and drag-link ends are removed from the stock steering knuckle, the reaming tool is used to bore out the upper side of the rod holes on the steering arm. The included tapered cone sleeves are then set in place and the rod ends are rotated so that they sit atop the knuckle with the bolt and cotter pin securing them from the bottom. This process lends as many as 3 inches more ground clearance to a vehicle's approach and protects the vulnerable steering components from damage.

In addition to the Rock Equipment Tie Rod Flip Kit, OK4WD offers a full selection of four-wheel-drive parts and hardware from a number of popular manufacturers, and its Stewartsville, New Jersey, facility is a full-service shop with a stocked showroom and knowledgeable staff.
