"What Can You Hemi?" Contest
Ever wonder what you could Hemi? The Chrysler Group did. As a result, the company asked consumers the same question. They asked Hemi enthusiasts if they could infuse the power and torque of the 5.7L V-8 Hemi engine into anything, what would it be? Potential contestants submitted their ideas in a brief essay and sketch, and five finalists were chosen to build their creations. The finalists were selected because their entries stood out from the others based on creativity, engineering, feasibility, safety, and functionality. Of the five finalists, the creations include a Hemi snow blower, a Hemi ice surfacing machine, a Hemi shredder, a Hemi-Go-Round, and a Hemi trike. The Hemi creations will be showcased once built and one lucky winner will receive a Hemi-powered Chrysler, Jeep, or Dodge vehicle of their choice. Camp Jeep On The Road
Designed to provide Jeep enthusiasts and all interested parties with a sample of what Camp Jeep 2005 is all about, Camp Jeep On The Road made several stops across the U.S. throughout the summer. The final dates of the traveling Jeep enthusiast event will be August 27-28 in Houston, September 10-11 in San Diego, and September 24-25 in Denver. The actual Camp Jeep 2005 event took place August 12-14 in the scenic Pocono Mountains in northeast Pennsylvania.

The Camp Jeep On The Road events offer many exciting elements that are also part of the regular Camp Jeep events. One of the most attractive activities is sure to be the vehicle testdrive course, which will allow consumers an opportunity to experience the '05 Jeep Grand Cherokee, Liberty, and Wrangler vehicles in a variety of off-road conditions. The off-road course will include tough obstacles, such as steep grades, rocky trails, switchbacks, and log crossings, all under the guidance of a trained driving instructor. A selection of historical Jeeps will also be featured along with an array of concept Jeeps and future models, including the '06 Jeep Commander, which was unveiled at the New York International Auto Show last March. Other fun Camp Jeep On The Road activities will include bungee jumping, a climbing wall, and the popular Camp Jeep Kids area.
