Daystar Winch Isolator - Product Review

The Daystar Winch Isolator is designed to securely retain a winch hook at the center of the rollers in the fairlead. The Isolator offers tough urethane construction and won't interfere with winch operation.

The Daystar Winch Isolator is ideal for 4x4s without a usable spot to hook the winch cable when it's not in use. While you could simply leave the winch hook dangling in the rollers of the fairlead, where it would rattle and knock around, Daystar's urethane Winch Isolator securely holds the cable end and hook so that it will stay put at the center of the fairlead. When the Isolator is not in use, it simply slides freely on the cable and is large enough that it will not interfere with winch operation.

Available in red or black, the Daystar Winch Isolator offers durable, one-piece urethane construction and an easy installation on most winches. The Isolator is installed by simply removing the winch hook and sliding the cable through the hole in the Isolator. The Isolator then rests between the rollers of the fairlead and retains the hook for easy access upon winch use. With many dings and mars in the powdercoat of our front winch bumper, we welcome such a simple fix for keeping a loose winch cable secure.
