Prevent Common Failures
Automatic transmissions are complex components, mysterious boxes filled with fluid and strange-looking parts that challenge even an accomplished engine builder. Many enthusiasts incorrectly install their transmission with the critical TV cable, used to set internal line pressure and part throttle shifting, either left disconnected or improperly adjusted. The result: total transmission meltdown, often within just a few miles.
The new 700R4 Constant Pressure Valvebody from TCI avoids all these problems. Installation of the TCI valvebody avoids common transmission destruction by maintaining at least 200-psi line pressure at all times. Although the TV cable still needs connection for proper transmission operation, the Constant Pressure Valvebody provides more freedom when setting part-throttle shift points. Line pressure is fixed with no chance of encountering a low line-pressure condition.

Roll No More
Roller fairleads seem to be a thing of the past these days with most winch owners upgrading to synthetic winch rope. Rokmen's new Big Hawse fairlead is CNC-machined from 6100 billet aluminum and measures a full 1-1/4-inch thick with large-radius contours on both the front and back to provide greater abrasion resistance and reduce friction and wear of synthetic line. Fits standard winch plates and aftermarket bumpers. Grade 8 hardware included.

Keep It Smooth
Mac Tools is proud to debut its new 5-inch wet-sanding block (PN HSP396W). This water-fed sanding block is designed to be used on all painted or primed surfaces. The Wet Wedge can be used prior to priming the vehicle, on primered surfaces, and for color sanding. It is supplied with clean water through the attached hose, enabling extended reach around the vehicle. A built-in water regulatory valve controls water flow, so the sanding block doesn't have to be dipped in a bucket over and over. In addition, a clean water supply increases the quality of the finish on the final paint.

n The Turbo 400 transmission is one of the most common transmission systems around. Adding one to your project rig means you care about durability and strength, so why cheap out when it comes to the internals? ATI Performance Products has just released its new Vasco intermediate shaft for the Turbo 400. The company currently offers upgraded TH400 Second-gear internals that include an ATI four-clutch pack, a giant 1,200-pound sprag on the aluminum drum, and a drum-supporting center support bushing. After upgrading these parts, the next part most likely to fail in a high horsepower vehicle is the intermediate shaft. In order to totally eliminate intermediate-shaft failures, ATI's new shaft is made from Vasco 300 material that has a tensile strength of 300,000 psi. The new shaft (PN 405970) is available as an option on all ATI Fuel Comp Extreme Duty and Fuel Comp Max Duty TH400 transmissions.
