New 6-Inch Lift For GMS
This 6-inch suspension system lifts '00-'05 GM K1500 Suburban, Yukon, Tahoe, and Avalanche 4WDs with no required driveshaft modifications. With this kit you retain use of factory control arms and steering centerlinks. The kit increases caster for improved control over larger tires. Information: 517/279-2135, www.bds-suspension.com.

ORD HD Shackles For GM Vehicles
These new shackles from Offroad Design will work on almost any leaf-sprung GM vehicle built between 1967 and 1987. With versions available for either stock-height or lifted applications, these shackles should improve ride quality and stability for any GM vehicle with original shackles. Featuring extended lengths of 1/2 inch over stock, ORD's HD shackles can also help prevent lift springs from hitting the framerails in some cases. They use 1/2-inch Grade 8 bolts and custom bushings for increased durability. With 4130 sleeves, 3/8-inch-thick side plates, and greasable bushings, there isn't a part on these shackles that ORD hasn't improved. Information: 970/945-7777, www.offroaddesign.com.

A Better Torque Converter For Hemi-Powered Rams
Many OE torque converters are equipped with plastic stators. Though the use of plastic saves manufacturers money, the benefits quickly vanish as plastic stators fatigue quickly during high-heat events such as towing heavy loads. TCI is known for building quality torque converters that increase power, efficiency, and mileage. The new TCI Dodge Hemi truck torque converter for 5-45RFE transmissions features an aluminum stator for increased torque multiplication and longer life. Additionally, TCI converters feature furnace-brazed construction and stronger thrust bearings. The result is said to be better power throughout the entire rpm range. First-Ever Rc Rockcrawler
We tested this new RC Jeep from Funrise Toy Corporation and were very impressed with how well it worked in rocks, sand, and dirt. It has tons of suspension flex, a two-speed transfer case, and even low-pressure pneumatic tires to simulate the real thing. The rig is built to 1:6 scale and features proportional steering. A four-band radio control unit is included and enables you to compete with others without signal interference. It even includes a great action-packed DVD about Real Rockcrawling. Priced around $150, these RC Jeeps ought to be high on any wheeler's Christmas list. Information: 800/882-3808, www.funrise.com.

GM Replacement Th400/205 Adapter
Gear Tech Heavy Duty has introduced a new adapter for the popular TH400-to-NP205 transfer case. This adapter is a direct replacement for the factory unit now being discontinued by GM. The adapter is made from 356 T-6 heat-treated aluminum and is reinforced at critical stress points that were prone to cracks in the factory unit. Information: 601/898-4552, www.geartechhd.com

Off Camber Clothing Company debuts 11 original shirt designs that cater specifically to four-wheeling enthusiasts. Off Camber also carries apparel from vendors like Poison Spyder Customs, Randy's Ring and Pinion, Hi-Lift Jack, and Rubicon Express, to name a few. The company also sells a variety of 'wheeling-related DVDs and even offers new/gently used and vintage apparel. They have eight more t-shirt designs and women's shirts. Men's and women's underwear is being developed as well. Information: 502/962-8141, www.offcambercc.com.

Ranger Firepower
Owners of '88-'00 four-cylinder Ford Rangers can now add some zap to their ignition system with Performance Distributors' new Ranger Firepower Ignition Kit. The kit consists of two Screamin' Demon Coil Packs and a set of Live Wire spark-plug wires. Brass terminal coil connectors ensure maximum conductivity. The coils are epoxy-filled and said to improve heat transfer and vibration resistance. This is said to be an easy installation, mounting in the OE location. Built with a glass-braided heat sleeve, the Live Wires are said to withstand up to 1,400 degrees. They're available in red, blue, black, purple, and yellow. Information: 901/396-5782, www.performancedistributors.com

100hp Evolution For Ford 6.0l Power Strokes
Edge Products now offers its powerful Evolution programmer/scanner for '03-present Ford 6.0L Powerstrokes. The new 6.0L programmer combines three levels of power tuning with error-code scanning and performance-capturing capabilities. The Evolution stores and replaces the factory PCM programming with one of three available power curves: 60 hp (Towing), 80 hp (Racing), and 100 hp (Extreme). Low-end torque is said to improve by 100, 160, and 250 lb-ft, respectively. Gains are achieved by increasing fuel delivery and turbo boost while adjusting the rev limiter. Information: 888/360-3343, www.edgeproducts.com.

52nd Jeepers Jamboree DVD
Rick Russell of Sidekick Off Road taped one of the oldest four-wheeling events in American history, the 52nd Annual Jeepers Jamboree. Comments by four-wheelers who were running the Rubicon Trail for the first time, and others who have been attending the event for many years, were captured in interviews to give the viewer another perspective on the event. If you've ever been, or are thinking about crossing the Rubicon Trail with the Jeepers Jamboree, this is a must-see. Information: 877/628-7227, www.sidekickoffroad.com.

Long-Arm Kit For Jeep WJs
TeraFlex has a new long-arm suspension system for owners of WJ ('99-'04) Grand Cherokees. The kit is said to offer the best highway handling and maximum articulation of any kit on the market today. The kit incorporates bolt-on long-arm bracketry, with heavy-duty 1.75-inch DOM tubing and interchangeable modular rod ends for complete end-user customization. TeraFlex claims this kit has been tested extensively on a daily driver and on the extreme trails of Moab. TeraFlex believes in keeping the center of gravity as low as possible. This is why this kit increases wheel travel while only adding 4 inches of vehicle lift height. Information: 801/256-9897, www.teraflex.biz.

Toyota Tundra 5-Inch Suspension Lift Kit
New from Tuff Country EZ-Ride Suspension is this 5-inch lift for '99-'03 4WD Toyota Tundra pickups. In the front, this kit uses coil/strut spacers and replacement heavy-duty spindles. A subframe drops the lower control arms and front differential down. Also included are swaybar drop brackets, and a steering shaft extension. The rear uses cast-iron lift blocks. The kit includes all necessary hardware. This kit is said to clear 33x12.50 tires. Information: 800/288-2190, www.tuffcountry.com.

Spare-Tire Tailgate
The TireGate Spare Tire Carrier from Wilco has everyone wondering why someone hadn't thought of this sooner. Built from tough, powdercoated 2-inch tubular steel, this innovative carrier allows you to haul up to a 40-inch tire without robbing your bed of space. The unit mounts easily in the factory tailgate position and requires no cutting, drilling, or welding. The spare tire can be angled both toward your truck bed, for an aggressive off-road look, or outward for maximum bed space. This product is said to be available for most popular pickup trucks. Information: 877/945-2684, www.tiregate.com.

Double Down That Toyota Automatic
Until now, owners of '84-'95 Toyota pickups didn't have the choice of using dual transfer cases with an automatic transmission. Skyway Transmission has developed an adapter that joins the A340H automatic transmission to the standard Toyota geardriven transfer case. The new adapter, called the Gear Slug, comes with a protective skidplate to help prevent expensive damage from jagged rocks. Another benefit of this setup is that both front and rear driveshafts will be nearly identical in length after the install. Information: 530/872-1418.

Onboard Air For '03-And-Newer Cummins
Dodge Cummins owners can now have onboard compressed air with this kit from Kilby Enterprises. With one of these systems installed you can easily fill tires, run pneumatic power tools, or even control airbag suspensions. Because the compressor is beltdriven, output is totally dependent on engine speed. The kit features high-quality brackets built with 1/4-inch laser-cut steel and all parts are zinc-plated for corrosion resistance. Information: 818/565-5945, www.kilbyenterprises.com.
