Cool It Intercooler
Own a turbocharged diesel pickup? If so, think about how hot 500 degrees Fahrenheit is. Believe it or not, that's enough heat to cook a five-pound chicken in 45 minutes. It's also the temperature of the air going into your stock intercooler. During turbocharging, compressed air generates tons of heat, and everyone knows heat is the enemy. That's why BD Power developed the new Cool-It intercooler. With 57 percent more cooling surface area and a 33 percent thicker core, this new unit increases cooling effectiveness to approximately 90 percent, compared to only 70 percent for the stock intercooler. That can mean a temperature reduction of up to 200 degrees Fahrenheit over the stock intercooler. At the same time, the 36 percent larger inlet and discharge tubes can handle up to 90 psi of boost and more than 1,500 cfm, while keeping pressure drop to less than 1 psi. All kits come complete with high-pressure hoses and clamps. Info: 800/887-5030, www.bd-power.com

Get Strapped
Renowned for making quality four-wheel-drive accessories for more than 25 years, ARB has always made some of the highest-quality recovery straps in the industry, and now they're even better. They still have all of the same great features, including the internal safety flag, which shows bright red tape through the fibers of the straps, to let the user know that the strap is wearing out. In addition, each of the three different types of straps are now individually colored for easy identification. Each type has its own high-visibility color scheme to encourage safer vehicle recovery operations. Reinforced seam sleeves offer extra durability, and the redesigned eyes allow shackles to be fitted with ease. A variety of differently rated versions of each of the three recovery straps are available, allowing the correctly rated strap to be matched to the vehicle weight. Info: www.arbusa.com

Portable Plasma Cutting
Designed to be the most convenient portable cutting system available, Hobart introduces the AirForce 250ci. Featuring a built-in air compressor and lightweight inverter technology, the unit offers powerful cutting abilities and weighs just 27 pounds, half the weight of the previous model. The AirForce 250ci is powered by standard 115 VAC household current, can cut 1/8-inch mild steel and sever 1/4-inch steel. The unit allows cutting with an arc up to 3/16 inch long up to three times longer than some competitive units, which improves results when freehand cutting. ATV Pull-Pal
Check out the new Pull-Pal for smaller rigs and ATVs. Simply insert the plow point into the soil, mud, sand, or snow. As the winch cable tightens, the point embeds itself deeply and firmly into the ground, and frees your rig with the assistance of the wheels in motion. This more compact version folds up to 32 inches long and stores easily on your ATV rack or toolbox. They're perfect for Rhinos, desert racers, and other small winch-equipped vehicles. JK Muffler Skidplate
On '07 Wrangler JKs, Jeep put a large muffler under the cargo area just behind the rear axle. This arrangement is great for noise reduction, but not so good for rockcrawling. So Kilby Enterprises designed a trick skidplate to protect the vulnerable muffler from damage. Built to be an easy bolt-on, this part fits with the factory receiver as well as the OE tow hook. Made from 3/16-inch steel, this unit will ensure your stock muffler remains intact even under the most extreme conditions. Large heat-dissipation holes keep exhaust heat under control while also adding a unique high-tech look to the vehicle's underside. Each Muffler Skid comes with stainless steel mounting hardware and a black powdercoat finish. Info: 818/565-5945, www.kilbyenterprises.com
