Grizzly Locker
Yukon Gear & Axle just released the Grizzly Locker for popular applications. The Yukon Grizzly Locker uses 8620 steel internals and a patent- pending design to lock both axles to the differential under torque. Current applications include the 28- and 31-spline units for the Ford 9-inch, as well as an application for the AAM 11.5 found under Dodge Ram and Chevy Silverado pickups, with more applications on the way. Oil Filter Options
Royal Purple oil filters are said to provide superior particle removal and improved performance through optimized flow characteristics. Each Filter features a 100 percent synthetic micro-glass media for particle removal with 99 percent filtration efficiency at 25 microns. A silicone anti-drain-back valve prevents dry starts, and an extra-heavy-duty rubber base gasket ensures a leak-free seal. Each Royal Purple filter housing is constructed of high-strength steel to ensure puncture resistance and burst strength. Info: Royal Purple, 888/382-6300, www.royalpurple.com

Black ICE
Now available in black, Center Line's I.C.E. wheel is one of a select few internal beadlocks that are both DOT-approved and run-flat-capable. Center Line's patented design is comprised of three beefy parts: a front face, a rear drum, and a stout inner bead retention element. Each of these parts is forged from T60-61 aluminum for strength. The I.C.E. wheel is assembled simply with basic hand tools, and thanks to the clever way it sandwiches the tire in place, it does not require a tire mounting machine. Twenty stainless steel bolts tie the three parts of the wheel together while clamping the outer lip of the tire into position. The system allows the tire to run at low air pressure over rough terrain without bead slippage. It is available in a 17x9 with a 5-inch backspace, with various five, six, and eight lug patterns offered. This wheel is proudly made in the U.S.A. Forged Arms
Parts Mike now offers forged steel high steer arms for popular Dana 44 steering axle arrangements. Equal in strength to billet arms, but much less expensive, these arms are designed to offer the budget-minded enthusiast another option. Each arm features tapered stud holes and machined tie-rod mounts. Arms are sold in pairs and stud kits are sold separately. Info: Parts Mike, 530/885-0673, www.partsmike.com

F9 Fabricated 9-inch Housing
Currie claims that their new F9 center section is the strongest fabricated-style Ford 9-inch housing available today. Features include a 3/16-inch-thick Hi-Form 50 steel body and a 3/8-inch-thick Hi-Form 50 steel third member mounting face. Each center section is machined to fit 3- or 3 1/4-inch tubes. Exclusive to this design are welded-in bulkheads inside the housing that are designed to tie the face, body, and inner ends of the axle tubes together for improved strength. Currie says the design provides maximum ground clearance at all pinion angles. Info: Currie Enterprises, 714/528-6957, www.currieenterprises.com

GM 1/2-ton Lift Options
Skyjacker's 6-inch suspension system for the '07-'09 GM K1500 is a win-win for enthusiasts who want dependable performance without sacrificing comfort and stability. The new design ensures that no cutting is necessary on the upper differential mount. This system features metal strut spacers for the front, heavy-duty front and rear crossmembers, as well as the necessary differential drop brackets. Replacement CNC-machined ductile iron steering knuckles are included and maintain the correct steering geometry, so there is no need for modifications to the factory steering assembly. Skyjacker's kit also features a unique anti-torque rod to minimize front axle pinion wrap. Info: Skyjacker, 866/423-3253, www.skyjacker.com

Scorpion Shocks
Daystar Products now offers a line of shock absorbers for popular applications. Scorpion shock absorbers are specifically tuned for each vehicle and feature a twin-tube design which increases oil capacity and reduces fade. Inside, the shocks utilize a durable piston seal and a velocity-sensitive valving stack, as well as a chrome-hardened piston shaft. Scorpion Performance Shocks include Daystar's premium polyurethane bushings and long-lasting shock boots. Info: Daystar Products, 800/595-7659, www.daystarweb.com

Driveline Solutions
Tom Wood's recently introduced a new driveshaft that uses a 1310-series, CV socket-style flange designed to flex to nearly 35 degrees prior to binding. This part is perfect for almost any GM or Dodge pickup manufactured from '77 through the late '80s and even some applications that are much newer. It's designed for front driveshafts where the vehicle has been lifted over six inches. Flexing a full 10 degrees more than the traditional Saginaw-type driveshaft that the above vehicles were equipped with, this part should solve the whole binding issue once and for all. JK Shock Options
Off Road Evolution now offers proprietary custom-valved coilover shocks made specifically for the Jeep JK Wrangler. These new shocks are manufactured by King and are available in 8-, 10-, 12-, and 14-inch-travel lengths, in either 2- or 2.5-inch diameter. Each features a remote reservoir to help prevent fade in harsh conditions. In addition to the standard Off Road Evolution coilover shocks, they also offer 8-, 10-, 12-, and 14-inch travel bypass shocks in a 2.0- or 2.5-inch diameter. Each shock is specifically tuned for the Jeep JK Wrangler. Info: Off Road Evolution, 714/870-5515, www.offroadevolution.com.

Jeep Tailgate Conversion
Finally, there's a kit that transforms the swing-out-style tailgate found on Jeep YJ, TJ, and JK vehicles into the more practical type that pickup trucks have. Exclusively from Swag Off Road, this kit comes complete with powdercoated hinges, paintable brackets, high-grade fasteners, and support cables (everything you need to perform the conversion). Constructed from laser-cut 3/16 and 3/8-inch steel that is formed on a press break, the system installs with minimal effort and requires no cutting or welding. The robust stainless steel support cables can handle up to 260-pounds in the open position, yet tuck away stealthily when stowed. In the closed position, the tailgate retains the OE locking mechanism and remains rattle-free during travel. Factory-style tailgate-mounted spare tire carriers will not work with this system.
