Chevy HD Lift Options
Pro Comp Just released a new 6-inch suspension system for the new 2011 GM HD line of pickups. The kit features CNC-machined cast-iron steering knuckles, replacement crossmembers constructed from 1/4-inch-thick steel, nitrocharged shocks, integrated differential skidplate, and all necessary mounting hardware. The system is said to maintain the factory turning radius and works with the factory StabiliTrak electronic stability control system. Installation time hovers around 3.5 hours, thanks to no drilling, welding, or cutting required. Once installed, this system accommodates up to 35-inch-tall tires and allows use of the factory 18- and 20-inch wheels. INFO: Pro Comp, 800/776-0767, www.procompusa.com

Traction Upgrade
Yukon recently released its Duragrip differential in a version that fits the Chrysler 9.25-inch front axle found under third- and fourth-generation Ram pickups. Features include a nodular iron case and internal gears cut from forged 4320 steel. The limited-slip operates via a four-spring design that engages composite clutches to provide smooth torque transfer and added traction when you need it most. Every unit is assembled in the U.S. and is completely rebuildable. INFO: Yukon Gear, 800/347-1188, www.yukongear.com

Tested!
Hi-Line Fenders for JKs-
We were approached by MetalCloak to try out a set of their new Overline Tube Fenders for Jeep JKs. Overall, the system impressed us because of several factors. First off, they install in place of the factory plastic flares and include a unique quick-release element that allows you to unbolt the ExoSkin flares when desired. This allows the end user various options in terms of appearance, tire coverage and weight savings. The term "Overline" refers to the unique mounting system that places the fender above, or over, the lines where the OE flares and traditional aftermarket tube fenders would normally mount. Furthermore, the system uses a dynamic bracing system to tie the exoskeleton flares directly to the chassis, sparing the factory sheetmetal from trail abuse. The system is incredibly strong, as we found out while testing on the Fordyce Creek Trail. We like the fact that these new fenders provide more tire clearance than any other setup we've seen, allowing the option of running 37s on a JK with no lift. For our testing, we went big and ran 40-inch-tall tires with a 4.5-inch lift and minor trimming of the inner fenderwells. The results were so impressive, we plan to showcase this new product in a detailed installation article in the coming months, stay tuned. INFO: MetalCloak, 916/631-8071, www.metalcloak.com

Raptor Exhaust Upgrades
Just when you thought the Ford Raptor could not get any better, the new 6.2L V-8 arrives. The all-new powerplant provides some serious oomph for the desert thoroughbred. However, the factory inadvertently left a little untapped power for the aftermarket to discover. Stainless Works took full advantage of this opportunity and developed a bolt-on header system that, when combined with its after-cat exhaust system, is said to produce an additional 31 horsepower and 36 lb-ft of torque. Super Duty Lift Options
CST Performance Suspension now offers a 4.5-inch lift kit for the 2011 Ford Super Duty F-250/350. Designed to provide clearance for 35-inch-tall tires, the kit includes such features as hand-fabricated boxed radius arms, longer front coil springs, a panhard bar drop mount and drop pitman arm, bumpstop and sway bar drop mounts, and a factory steering stabilizer relocation bracket. In the rear, a simple lift block and U-bolt kit are used to level out the truck front to back. INFO: CST Performance Suspension, 951/571-0212, www.cstsuspension.com
