Ever wish you had an extra hand to hold your flashlight when working alone? Better than using your four-year-old in the garage and drawing the ire of your wife, Cooper Lighting has a trick product called the Might-D-Light, which, as it turns out, is mighty handy.
The Might-D-Light is a rechargeable, folding LED worklight. This light is housed in lightweight plastic housing and features 80 cool bright white LEDs that are protected by a polycarbonate lens. With a durable design, you no longer have to worry about replacing burned out bulbs, or even breaking them if you knock the light over. In our experience, it’s also tough enough to bounce around the back of your truck and still turn on when you need it.
With the housing folded closed, the Might-D-Light becomes a compact 1.75-inches-thick for storage. Opened up (it can be spread from full-closed to 200 degrees), it becomes a freestanding source of illumination, or even laid flat to light up a surface directly above or below it. The housing also contains rare-earth magnets, so the light can be positioned on metal surfaces. If you are lacking a magnetic surface to use, it also comes with a nylon swivel hook for hanging. Other trick features include reflective strips for roadside applications, as well as a thick easy-grip handle.
With the batteries fully charged, the Might-D-Light has a two-hour run time and runs cool to the touch, which solves the potential problem of burns in tight quarters. Ask us how we know. Both an AC wall adapter and DC charger are included, so the light can be charged at home or on the road.
The Might-D-Light comes in either two-toned grey and black, or camo and start under $50. We’ve found the Might-D-Light to be a great addition to our shop and our vehicle recovery kit. FW
