Atturo Tires Cut Into The Market
Atturo is most likely a tire company you’ve never heard of before, but you may want to look it up the next time you need new rubber. We slung a set of Trail Blade M/T tires under our daily driver and, after a few thousand miles on them, are delighted at how they’re performing. Our truck sees plenty of highway miles, but it must also drag a trailer, scramble over dirt roads, and get us to out of town locations far from the beaten path. An all-terrain tire is great if all you do is haul the highway, but we like having traction for those times when we’re under the trees or exploring two-tracks far from home, and traction in the form of a mud tire is appreciated. These newcomer tires are made in Thailand, and although they may look like other tires in the market from afar, up close they are truly unique.
The Trail Blade M/T tread design was developed in collaboration with Mantis Knives based off the company’s Karambit, or “tiger claw,” blades. This partnership resulted in a tire designed to cut into dirt the same way early curved knives were used to dig up roots and work as an agricultural tool. Our testing of these tires show they work well in deep rutted dirt tracks and are well suited for a truck like ours that is used in a variety of terrain.
