Stout and Removable
The new removable winch plate from Rugged Ridge combines features of other plates that we feel should be standard. From the 1⁄4-inch-thick base to the fully welded construction and the 1-inch OD solid handles this plate brings the beef. It comes standard in a black hammered finish, accepts up to a 12,000-pound winch, as well as a 5⁄8-inch-diameter hitch pin. There are two wiring harnesses available: one in a 7-foot length and one in a 24-foot length. It fits a standard 2-inch hitch connector.

Save a Buck
We all know that the constant velocity joints in the factory JK driveshafts are a problem. Most of us just swap driveshafts and yokes when the problem arises and that just isn’t cheap. If you don’t need the added angularity, you still have to get a new driveshaft when the factory joint goes bad anyway because until now there was no way to rebuild it. Rockford Driveline saw the problem and brought its 65 years of experience to bear to fix it. This replacement joint is a direct replacement for the factory part and features Rockford’s super-strength housing and precision-machined internals.

12 in 1
The new LED Light Cannon from Vision X shoots light over 1,000 feet downrange from a single 25 watt LED. Add that to a variety of snap-on beam filters (such as spot, euro, or flood) and snap-on color filters (such as clear, blue, amber, or red), and this one light can serve any purpose you need. There are actually 13 available filters, but we won’t bore you with them here. Let’s just say the standardized one-bolt mounting makes it easy to put just about anywhere, and there is an available wiring harness to make hooking it up a snap. The housing is an aluminum/polycarbonate hybrid and weighs only 2 pounds, yet is still IP68-rated.

Sectional Rings
Tired of going all-in to replace a mangled beadlock ring? So are we, but we were kind of skeptical about these new sectional beadlock rings from Trail-Gear. After speaking with the company our fears were allayed. These sectional rings are thicker than traditional rings and feature a strong interlocking design. Additionally, aggressive knurling on the inside of the ring provides a better grip on the tire, and the thicker material means that the bolts can be recessed even more over a regular beadlock ring. At only $22 each, they are available in four colors and are compatible with all 17-inch beadlock wheels.

Ultimate Anti-Flutter
Sure poly hood catches help fix the dry-rotted and stretched catches that are so common on ’97-’06 Wranglers but we find ourselves wishing for an even beefier solution. Enter Rugged Ridge, to follow up on the popularity of the company’s billet JK hood latches. Constructed from billet aluminum and powdercoated black, these latches for the TJ are an easy bolt-on that any do-it-yourselfer can do. Not only are these stronger than any rubber or poly catch could be, they are fully adjustable. That means that they will fit many aftermarket (and even bent) factory fenders. The hardware and adjuster rods are stainless steel.

Stick Legal
Got a license plate mount that just doesn’t seem to want you to have a license plate light? Well, get legal with Truck-Lite’s new 36 Series LED light. Absolutely zero tools are needed to mount it. Simply peel and stick. State-of-the-art adhesive will do the rest for you in spite of pressure-washings and even from -104 to 185 degrees Fahrenheit. There are two varieties of lights being offered—one that has wires that exit the rear of the light and one that has the wires exit the side. The lights can run from 10 to 30 volts and are backed by a limited lifetime warranty.

Bolt-on, Brake Better
With bigger tires, lower gearing, and more weight than when our Jeeps were stock, some of us are lucky to bring it all to a stop at all. Most of us can agree that bigger brakes are the key, but so many of the big brake kits on the market require new steering knuckles, and who wants to get into pulling unitbearings and axleshafts for a brake job? Hawk Performance has a bolt-on big brake kit for your ’07-up JK that requires only the turning of a few bolts. The three-piston machined aluminum Talon caliper offers up to a 55-percent increase in clamping force over stock and bolts right on. The fact that there are no replacement steering knuckles means that despite the nice slotted rotors, the cost is still less than many other kits.

20 Years of Baja
Providing the perfect mix of bling and Baja-proven toughness from Advanced Air Cleaner Systems is this not new air filter. But, since we’ve just run across a product release and thought it was a neat product here we are. Available in 6x12 and 6x15 inch sizes, the filter has a 4-inch-diameter opening and has been run in the last 20 years of the Baja 1000. The rods on the outside of the filter maximize flow in the filter, and a paper element keeps the inside of your engine clean while the foam wrap protects the paper.

Forged Poly
Why didn’t someone do this sooner? Ballistic Fabrication is now offering both 2.5-inch and 3.0-inch forged arm ends stuffed with a 1.75-inch OD Prothane polyurethane bushing. Gone are butt-welded tube ends. Instead, this end, forged from 4130 chromoly, is the ultimate in strength. It’s CNC-machined to exacting tolerances and zinc-coated for a long service life. The poly bushing was originally intended for Chevy leaf springs, so there should be no problem living up to what our Jeeps dish out. Now, if we could only get a Johnny Joint one for the other end.

Super Foot
Tired of playing games with rickety old wooden blocks under the foot of your trailer? Check out the Husky Brute Super Foot. It increases the reach of a trailer foot by 7 inches and works with all 2- and 21⁄4-inch-diameter electric or manual trailer feet. No drilling is required for installation and the Super Foot features a 6500-pound rating for even the gnarliest of tongue weights. It is also super-versatile and can be used on surfaces with up to a 10-degree pitch. Leave it attached when loading and you won’t compress your tow rig’s suspension quite so much.
