Kevin Hawkins wanted to upgrade the hood on his 2007 JK Wrangler, but didn't go for the aftermarket offerings available up to now. We showed him photos of the new RK Sport JK hood, and he soon installed one on his Jeep.
Featuring a low-rise center scoop and heat extractors, RK Sport's Jeep hood provides additional engine cooling and ventilation. In addition, the company collaborated with Volant Performance, to make the scoop fully functional when using Volant's cold air intake system (sold separately).
The hood attaches in minutes using the vehicle's factory hinges, bolts, hood latch, and spring. RK Sport's unique method of fiberglass molding and construction prevents shrinking and ensures a factory-quality fit and finish. The hood is made in the United States and is available in full carbon fiber (PN-48011020; $1,195.95) with a carbon-fiber top/fiberglass underside (PN-48011010; $925.95), or in full fiberglass (PN-48011000; $695.95).
The RK Sport carbon-fiber JK hood is a high-quality part. The fit and finish is perfect. Kevin is happy and his Jeep looks great. What more could he want?
