Stephen Watson of Offroad Design is a bit of a fanatic about beefiness, to say the least. He’s holding an average NP205 underdrive intermediate shaft to compare to the Magnum shaft. Notice how the other shaft necks down to 32 splines in the middle. There’s no such weak point on the Magnum’s shaft. Some 205 case housings require machining to accept the new, large bearing, but the Magnum kit includes all the parts needed to install the input and put the 205 back together—bearings, snap rings, seals, and gaskets.
