Pvc Elbows To Install Bad Beadlock

3. With the inside bead broke loose, we used a couple of PVC elbows to hold the bead on our 37-inch Mickey Thompson tires. The MTZs host a load range D sidewall, which is a great bonus for trail durability, but made the sidewalls less forgiving when trying to manipulate and insert the locking elements. There were a few larger tires being mounted on a set of B.A.D. Wheels while we were at the shop. We noticed that with the taller cleats installing the hardware was much easier. Ultimately, we found that the difficulty level of installing the locking elements is largely dependant on the tire manufacturer and size.
