Our next stop was the sand. Aggressive tires are not usually conducive to sand driving. They like to dig down and plant the truck rather than propel it. The WildPeaks played nice in the dunes. We aired down to 11 psi, and the big Chevy was floating across the sand without drama. Only at the top of a steep dune climb did they dig in, but we could still back down. On a less steep climb the tires paddled their way to the top, and even though we were moving slowly and the tires were spinning, they didn’t stop clawing forward.
