Automatically Compressing
Sure, there is a lot to be said for cardio workouts, but the new automatic compressors from Viair don't pay health concerns any mind. Instead of running from the tire to the compressor in order to shut it off and move to the next tire, the compressor automatically shuts itself off, saving both effort and wear on the compressor. Information: VIAIR Corporation, 949/585-0011, viaircorp.com

Flat Top
Bushwacker has taken JK replacement fender flares to a new level with its new flat style fender flares. The fully-molded flares mount using factory holes and provide 43/4 inches of coverage for the rear tires and 81/2 inches of coverage for the front. They work with factory inner fender splash guards to keep the engine free of mud. Information: Bushwacker, 800/234-8920, bushwacker.com

Big-Block Big Power
If you've got a big-block you should take a look at these new 265cc oval port heads from AFR. They boast an impressive 340 cfm of airflow at .600 lift and can support over 700hp. They come standard with 7/16-inch studs and guide plates, 3/4-inch-thick head deck, 2.190 intake and 1.880 exhaust valves. Information: Air Flow Research, 877/235-4466, ariflowresearch.com

Active Sway Control
Most sway control systems rely on clamping to provide a static friction that reduces sway but doesn't completely eliminate it. The Husky Center Line weight distribution and sway system features a compression cylinder and torsion spring that work together to oppose trailer sway before it begins. The system works to constantly re-center the trailer to eliminate swaying. Information: Husky Towing Products, 600/495-5858, huskytow.com

One Stop Shop
Most of us piece recovery kits together as we need stuff, but that really isn't the best way to do it. The best way to do it is to get a recovery kit that includes all the stuff you need in one sturdy carry bag. This kit from Rugged Ridge features an 8-inch 20,000-lb rated snatch block, a 2-inch by 30-foot 20,000lb recovery strap, a 3-inch by 6-foot 30,000lb tree protector, two 9,500 zinc-coated D-rings, a winch line dampener, and a pair of leather recovery gloves Information: Rugged Ridge Performance, 770/614-6101, omix-ada.com

Purely Shocking
Even if you know nothing of Pure Performance, knowing that the company tested these new shocks for several years should speak to its dedication to quality. These new 25/8-inch-diameter aluminum shocks with fluted bodies feature as much cooling area as many 3-inch shocks. These shocks also feature a 1-inch tubular stainless steel shaft which increases fluid capacity and brings big-shock performance levels to shocks that more easily fit in our Jeeps. Information: Pure Performance, 518/270-9822, pure-performance.biz

Corner Wrangling
New from River Raider Off Road is a set of 3/16-inch-thick corners for the '07 and up Wrangler. Integrated light mounts are designed to work with the ORO Light Dot or any other 4-inch round light and get rid of the stock tail lights that explode when a tree or rock even comes close. Multiple finish options and tabs for the River Raider tire cage are also available. Information: River Raider Off Road, 717/262-3079, riverraider.com.

Cinch Down the Hood
If you are tired of watching your TJ's hood bounce around while going down the highway, sick of the worn-off paint, or just have some dry-rotted hold downs, these Hood Wranglers from Daystar will be a lifesaver. They fit Wranglers from '97-'06 and replace the rubber with heavy-duty polyurethane for a tighter latch and firmer closing action that keeps your hood from buffeting, no matter the speed. All hardware and instructions needed for installation is included. Information: Daystar Products International, 800/595-7659, daystarweb.com

Hood Gremlin Killer
We can't tell you the number of times we've gone under our hood for some reason and found one of our dipsticks no longer seated in its tube. Who knows how much dirt managed to sneak down into the engine or transmission? End all of that with locking dipsticks from Lokar. Think of a quick-disconnect for your air compressor, but in a dipstick form, and you get the idea. Information: Lokar Performance Products, 865/218-8902, lokar.com

Mushroom Plug
Plug kits are great, but really aren't a permanent solution and often work their way out pretty quickly. The Tire Mobility Kit from Stop & Go gives the ability to patch a tire on the side of the road without removing it from the rim. The mushroom shaped plug is driven into the tire by way of the plugging tool and a hex wrench. It then expands under pressure to fill the punctured area. A pull on the stem with the included pliers seats the mushroom head inside the tire, allowing no air to escape. The kit includes 15 rubber plugs, all needed installation tools, an American-made air compressor, and a pressure gauge. Information: Stop & Go, 800/747-0238, stopngo.com

Aluminum Overhead
This roof rack from ARB is 40 percent lighter than its steel counterparts and manufactured from 6000-series T4 aluminum alloy. The Amplimesh aluminum mesh is used in security installations around the world and finished off with high-quality millennium grey powdercoat finish; it's rated to carry 330lbs. Information: ARB 4x4 Accessories, 425/264-1391, arbusa.com

Single-Keyed
If you lock anything up with an aftermarket lock, like us, you are probably sick of trying to remember combinations or which key goes to what lock. Bolt series locks use your Jeep or car key to unlock. A patented automotive-style cylinder enables users to insert their car or truck key, turn once, and program the lock to that key and only that key. Initial offerings in the Bolt line will be padlocks, cable locks, receiver locks, and spare tire locks, with more to follow. Information: Strattec Lock, 414/247-3333, stratteclock.com

Addictive Bumper
Addictive Desert Designs has been building and designing pre-runners and race trucks for years and has brought that experience to bear for your '97-'06 Wrangler. The boxed-in design bumpers have a 1/4-inch steel base for a stout winch mount, and the protective hoop provides a space to mount 9-inch lights. Shackle mounts are standard. Information: Addictive Desert Designs, 480/671-0820, addictivedesertdesigns.com
