The new rebuildable aluminum fuel filter from AEM is made from 6061 aluminum and hard anodized black. It can flow up to 12.32 gpm @ 45 psi while filtering down to 7 microns. The screw-on end caps are machined with -10 female AN fittings and feature Viton O-rings for a long service life. The 2-inch by 10-inch cylinder is easy to mount, the filter cartridge is easy to replace, and it is laser-etched with the AEM logo and filter replacement information. Information: AEM Electronics, 310/484-0152,

Are you tired of your plasma or torch-cut circles looking like the Drunken Master did them? We are too. This low-cost template from Swag Off-Road can solve all of your issues. It is adjustable from 1-inch to 12-inch diameters at -inch increments. Laser-etching makes the diameter selection simple and brass thumb-screws make switching back and forth a snap. Information: Swag Off-Road, 541/915-2775,

Clean Breathing
Open-air Jeeping is awesome. There is nothing like those days of wheeling with no top and doors. Unfortunately, there is also nothing like those days of open-air wheeling when you are breathing the dust kicked up by the guy in front of you. The RZR Mask solves that with replaceable N99 carbon-activated filters. The mask is comfortable and the filters will filter out both solids and gasses, which means if you are behind a diesel and it’s getting to you, this mask will help. The masks are available in a variety of colors from camouflage to pink and fasten using a simple Velcro system. Information: RAZR Mask, 888/777-9422,

It seems to us that when aftermarket fuel-injection systems first came to market, a lot of them were touted as self-tuning. We all took that to mean that they would tune themselves, when in reality it meant that the end-user was able to tune it themselves. These new EFI systems from Holley really do tune themselves and are available in two-barrel or four-barrel carburetor-replacing designs or as a multiport intake manifold replacement. Available in the Avenger series for the basic user, HP series for tuning via laptop or self-tuning with boost and more controls, and the Dominator series which adds the ability to control electronically-shifted automatic transmissions. Information: Holley Performance Products, 270/782-2900,

Built for Speed
The Teraflex LCG Prerunner Suspension for ’07-and-up Wranglers is built using premium components and designed for wide-open Baja-inspired driving. The kit features Teraflex’s LCG well-known long-arm geometry along with improvements to handle things at speed. Among the improvements are Speedbump bumpstops for progressive compression, HD limiting straps, extensive gusseting, and coil spring retainers. The kit is designed to run 35-inch tires on the stock axles to maximize uptravel. Information: Teraflex, 801/288-2585,

If you have a problem with keys or just want to keep up with the Jones with their fancy Beamers and Benzes, wait no more. The Touch and Go starter system from Phantom products works with many aftermarket and OE starter buttons, automatically disengages the starter once the vehicle is running, and interfaces with many aftermarket security systems. Unlike many other piggyback electric starter systems, there is no tach wire to hookup making installation much easier. A theft-deterrent light blinks red when off and the retained accessory option can keep accessories on for 10 minutes after shutting the Jeep off. Information: Phantom Products, 618/943-4856,

Cool Anything
If you are working on a hard-to-cool Jeep, or simply have an odd body/engine combination that no one builds radiators for, rather than cobble together radiator hoses and hack together mounts, turn to Mattson’s Radiator. Started in 1957, this is a family-owned radiator company that can build high-quality aluminum radiators to whatever your specifications. The radiators have ultra-strong tanks and mounting flanges, are fully TIG-welded, and use a double-pass design for more cooling. All radiators are pressure-tested before going out the door and are compatible with all coolants. Information: Mattson’s Custom Radiators, 909/435-6477,

Family Cage
When we first saw this press release for a family-style cage for a CJ-5, we thought that Extreme Custom Fabrication might just be pulling our leg because of how small the CJ-5 is. Then we saw the pictures and realized how well thought-out and executed this kit is and knew we had to share it. It is made from 2-inch, 0.120-wall HREW tubing with DOM available as an upgrade. This kit is perfect if you have kids or a dog in the backseat, or if you just want a more modern looking cage for your Jeep. Information: Extreme Custom Fabrication, 563/517-7361,

Let It Go
There is no arguing that Snap-On sells great tools. Among the most indestructible of them are the ratchets. Until now, there have been times when we couldn’t get the sockets off the ratchet. The new quick release ratchets have a button for easy removal of the socket no matter how greasy you get. They are available in both 3/8- and 1/2-inch-drive versions, both with a fine 36-tooth count. The design is patented and features special O-rings to seal in the permanent lubrication for a lifetime of maintenance-free operation. Information: Snap-On, 877/762-7662,

No-Cut Highline
MetalCloak now has a high-clearance fender option for the CJ owner who doesn’t want to hack up the hood of their classic Jeep. This full-replacement tube fender provides almost 4-inches more clearance over the stock fender/fender flare setup. Unlike many other aftermarket fenders these MetalCloak units feature full inner fenders, made from aluminum. The inner fenders are not predrilled with an eye to the changes likely made in the 25 years since the last of these Jeeps came off the line. They fit all ’76-’86 CJ-5s, CJ-7s, and CJ-8s. Information: MetalCloak, 916/631-8071,
